6 of the rarest versions of regular cars for less than $10 000

For us gearheads cars take special place in our lives. For every single one of us there is one or two cars that represents sanctity to us and when car makers make special edition of those cars that feeling multiplies by several times. We immediately start to dream about that car and dreaming of owning one example. Its like „cargasm“ is about to happen, just by dreaming about them. So we made a list of several cars that are so special that even seeing one in public would activate „cargasm“.

1. Saab 9-2X Aero

Consider this as the better looking Subaru Impreza (yes, I know I could get a beating for saying that because Impreza has a large fan base all over the world and it's one of most important cars ever made, but hey, noone has the same taste) that you want but you have never seen it in the flesh. For this price you can make your own Saab STi tribute car. Turbocharged and intercooled flat-4 engine produces 227 BHP and 294 Nm of torque. It was produced in 2005 and now you can get it for about $4000, if you are lucky to find one ofcourse.

2. Mercury Marauder X-100

This car was made before the neutering emissions regulations so it still has a bit of gunt, thanks to its 360 HP V8 engine. With 15 000 examples made it's not excatly Mercedes Gullwing rare but with its age, you'll be hard pressed to find any still on the road. Price for this car starts around $10 000, in top condition around $13 000 and higher.

3. Mercedes-Benz C32 AMG

This Mercedes is a factory sleeper because it's almost indistinguisable from the more pedestrian C-class variants, What's important is the 3.2 litres V6 under the hood that's aided in large part by a sizable supercharge. This engine produces 349 BHP and 450 Nm od torque. Prices start around $9 000.

4. Volkswagen Passat W8 4Motion

The longstanding joke around modern Volkswagen's stems from the widespread illumination of the Check Engine Light- CEL for short. Everyone that owns Volkswagen can verify this. It is constant torture. Volkswagen made cars before Dieselgate affair and some of them were awesome, like this 2004 Volkswagen Passat W8 4Motion. Its 4 litres W8 produces 27 BHP and 370 Nm of torque. If you want one in your possesion be prepared to cash out around $10 000. It seems a lot for old Volkswagen but trust us, it's worth every penny.

5. BMW M540i

Between M5 and 540i is heavily modified 540i. They call it the M540i because imaginative representation of BMW in the 1990's... You'd be hard pressed to find something better for the price. It was produced in 1995. And prices for this car starts at $9 000.  Its 4.0 litres V8 engine produces 282 HP and 295 Nm of torque.

6. Ford SVT Lightning

And now here is something you have never expected to find in lists like this one, a Ford pickup truck. Its 5.3 litres V8 engine produces 380 HP and 610 Nm of torque. It was produced in 2000 and prices for this car starts at $10 000. I know it sounds a lot for pickup truck that is 17 years old but how cool would it be to own one of these in your garage?
